I was a student in New York in 1999, I was very interested in the architecture and spaces of the city and took many photographs with a view to working on them in the future. After 9/11 it has taken nearly 20 years to feel able to start to make the work. I was trying to explain to people in words the beauty of the twin towers but realised its maybe better to do it in images so I started this body of work.
