Connections to Today: Teaching 9/11 25 Years Later

Middle and high school educators are invited to participate in this FREE full-day professional development workshop at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Connections to Today: Teaching 9/11 25 Years Later focuses on inquiry-based learning and compelling first-hand narratives that explore how 9/11 continues to shape our world. Discover how to spark critical thinking, empathy, and real-world connections while teaching 9/11 to a generation with no lived memory of the attacks.

While this is a scheduled PD day for NYC schools, all middle and high school educators who are able to travel to the Museum are welcome to register and attend. Participants will be taken on a guided tour of the Museum and will explore extensive online resources, including multimedia lesson plans and a robust archive of first-person stories.

All participants receive free curricular materials at the completion of the program. We are an approved CTLE provider. Space is limited.
