Family members, survivors, downtown residents, and Memorial staff gathered for a ceremony commemorating the 29th anniversary of the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center and honoring the six who were killed that day.

Myrna Weinstein is one of just two Museum docents who survived both attacks on the World Trade Center. As we approach the 29th anniversary of the 1993 attack, Myrna shares her harrowing ordeal that cold day in New York. 

First responder Gerard Baptiste was killed on 9/11, but his memory lives on in the form of a very special motorcycle, restored by fellow Ladder 9/Engine 33 firefighter Michael Wernick. 

The story of the 12 black firefighters who sacrificed their lives on 9/11 is deeply connected to that of the Vulcan Society, and dates all the way back to 1898. 

On Four Chaplains Day, we remember the bravery and unifying presence of Bill Barton, Disaster Chaplain at the Pentagon and Ground Zero, who illuminated the dark days after 9/11 with hope and strength.
