Since 2015, nearly 20,000 educators around the country have participated in professional development workshops with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. The Education Department is now pleased to invite educators to participate in our upcoming virtual professional development opportunity, “Foundations of Teaching 9/11,” on Monday, January 31 from 10:00 am ET to 12:00 pm ET.

This two-hour workshop will feature an interactive, live virtual tour of the Museum and will explore the 9/11 Primer; a free, comprehensive online curriculum for teaching 9/11 and its aftermath using primary sources and first-person testimony. Through programming geared towards 6th-12th grade educators, participants will leave with classroom-ready strategies and resources that can be easily integrated into lesson plans. While January 31 is a dedicated professional development day for some New York City educators, we're extending the invitation to educators across the country who are available to attend.

This workshop will be conducted over Zoom and CTLE credit is available. Click here to register and reserve your spot today.
