Brian August missed seeing the World Trade Center towers so much that he created an app that superimposes their silhouette where they once stood in the New York City skyline. 

The “110 Stories” app uses augmented reality technology allowing smartphone users within 30 miles of lower Manhattan to accurately locate where the twin towers once stood, overlaying an artistic outline on the phone's camera view that recreates the skyscrapers so many New Yorkers and visitors remember.

Users of the app can take a composite photo and then share their personal reflections about what iconic towers meant to them.
