Kevin M. Rampe
Head of North America Claims, Chubb Group
Kevin M. Rampe is the Head of North America Claims for Chubb, one of the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance companies. Mr. Rampe also serves as:
- Founding Director and member of the both the Finance Committee and the Executive Committee of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum;
- Member of the Board of Directors of the Insurance Federation of New York; and
- Trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission of New York City.
Prior to joining Chubb, Mr. Rampe served as both President and Chairman of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. He also previously served as First Deputy Superintendent and Chief Operating Officer of the New York State Insurance Department, First Assistant Counsel to Governor George E. Pataki of New York, and he worked as an international litigator at the New York law firm of Shearman and Sterling. For over a decade, he was a Director and a member of the Audit Committee of Global Container Terminals, a privately held corporation owned by the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan that operated container terminals in Vancouver, B.C. and in the New York metropolitan area. He also served as a Director of the Life Insurance Council of New York.
He received his B.A., cum laude, from Union College and his J.D, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University. He is also the recipient of an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Union College where he was the commencement speaker in June 2004.
He lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania with his wife, Christine, and their children William, Matthew, Lily, and Emma.
