9/11 Memorial & Museum Audio Guide

Audio Guides are available for rent during your visit, and listeners can choose from several different tours.

Witnessing History Tour

Narrated by Robert De Niro, this tour provides an overview of 9/11 and its aftermath. You will hear about the experiences of first responders, recovery workers, family members of those killed on 9/11, journalists, and others with stories to share.

This tour is also available in American Sign Language, Chinese (Mandarin Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Audio Tour

Discovering History Tour

Designed for children ages 8–11 years old and their families, this tour takes a close look at Museum artifacts and provides an age-appropriate recounting of the events of 9/11.

Building History Tour

This tour features the voices of architects, recovery workers, and preservationists describing the archaeological remnants of the World Trade Center visible in the Museum, as well as information about the building and design of the original complex and this Museum.

Accessible Tours

American Sign Language: The Witnessing History tour in American Sign Language provides an overview of the events of 9/11 and its aftermath, as told through personal stories from families of 9/11 victims, survivors, first responders, and others.

Audio Description: This tour allows visitors who are blind or partially sighted to independently explore the Museum through vivid and detailed description of the Museum’s exhibitions. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum Audio Guide is VoiceOver compatible on all iOS devices, including devices offered by the Museum.

Special Tours

September 11, 2001: This accompanying audio tour for the Museum’s historical exhibition, September 11, 2001, is narrated by Allison Gilbert, who was an investigative producer for WNBC-TV on 9/11. This tour is also available in American Sign Language, Chinese (Mandarin Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

The Audio Guide can be rented at the Museum's Information Desk or downloaded to your own phone from iTunes or Google Play.
