The Tribute sculpture was created from a vision Lynn Dodge had after the attacks on September 11, 2001.  As a wife of a firefighter she experienced the close bonds of the firefighter family.  

The Tribute project was created as a tribute and gift to each of the families of the fallen firefighters.

After almost a year of obtaining sponsors from firefighters, schools, family and friends a group of firefighters and their spouses flew back to New York City to personally deliver all the sculptures to FDNY fire houses.

Each sculpture is tribute to those who bravely gave their lives on September 11, 2001.
