Company behind care, planting of 9/11 Memorial Trees Wins Arboricultural Award

In case you missed it: Last month, the first of the more than 400 swamp white oak trees were planted on the plaza of the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site. Check out the above FOX News' "The Rise of Freedom" broadcast on the trees.
Environmental Design, the company in charge of caring for the trees and coordinating the planting at WTC, has won the 2010 Texas Arboricultural Project of the Year Award for an unrelated tree relocation project in Texas, according to the company's Twitter page. Plantings at the World Trade Center site will continue in phases over the next several months as the memorial plaza is prepared to receive more trees.
