Each year, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum produces the 9/11 Anniversary Digital Learning Experience, a unique, 30-minute film that highlights first-person accounts of the attacks and their aftermath and teaches lessons of unity, resilience, and hope. More than 4 million students from all 50 states and over 60 countries have participated in this online, interactive program. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum has proudly partnered with AMC to launch Anniversary in the Theater and dramatically expand the availability of this program to families and communities across the U.S.
From September 3 through 11, as the world pauses to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, members of the 9/11 community, mission partners, and other civic organizations will have the opportunity to organize a free screening of the 2024 film in any AMC theater nationwide. By registering, teachers can use this opportunity to preview content before leading classroom discussion, parents can see what their children are learning and prepare for difficult conversations at home, and communities can come together in remembrance. Participants are able to request the date and time of their screening and organize their group, and AMC Theatres will screen the film, based on availability.
